University of IlorinNon-Academic Staff Union of Universities, (NASU) on Monday embarked on an indefinite strike, on the grounds of non-payment of outstanding fees.

Unilorin NASU has not publicly disclosed the strike action and the exact reasons for the strike.

Naija News has however gathered that some teaching and non-teaching staff of the University have in accordance with the strike, stayed away from work, and have not been queried or called for their absence.

Also, some departments in the university are currently writing exams and as at yesterday were allowed to sit for their papers.

So the strike action is still in a hazy state.

Unilorin non-academic staff are on strike. I could not sign some documents yesterday because of the strike.

The O. P is right.. NASU, SSANU & NAAT are currently on strike nationwide .
Even OAU SSANU & NAAT members are planning to join based on the outcome of their congress yesterday afternoon .
