Talibanis: Why do you want to replace ABS? Hope you properly diagnosed it. Cos those W211 prefacelift models have SBC which gets bad and then the brake feels spongy and longer braking distance shows up after 400,000 brake pedal presses and you'd need to replace it. Run a dedicated deep scan on your brake system v fore you finally go buy an ABS module. |

Talibanis: Kingreign has said it all. Most mechanics who don't understand how SBC works are also part of the problem. Changing brake pads or any job that requires removal of the brake calipers has to follow a certain recommended process....no short cut. Doors must not be opened during the change, for example. Kindly run a proper diagnosis (not just picking codes) before you spend 100k on your car. |
