On Wednesday 13th September, the Boss of JP Morgan, America's biggest bank, Jamie Dimon, criticize bitcoin as being fraudulent and since then, the value of the cryptocurrency is experiencing one of the highest fall in value within the last six months. The value of the cryptocurrency was approximately $4031 per bitcoin on Wednesday after he made the statement, and has fallen further to $3034 showing nearly 30% decrease as at 1:00Pm today, Friday 15th September 2017. In Naira terms, the value of bitcoin fell from about N1,600,000 per bitcoin to below one million at around N990,000 showing about 40% decrease as at the time of this report. There are speculations that the value of the cryptocurrency would continue to fall over the period ld the next 30days. The implication to holders of BitCoin is that they may wake up one morning and see that their bitcoin is now worth $100. The CBN last year issued a warning about the cryptocurrency. The warning can be said to have fallen on deaf ears as the value of bitcoin has risen by over 500% in the last 365 days...
