Gov. Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia has expressed gratitude to God for averting bloodbath in the state, following the withdrawal of troops deployed to Abia for a one-month military exercise code-named “Operation Python Dance.” Ikpeazu made the remark on Sunday when he visited the secretariat of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Abia council to commiserate with journalists over last Tuesday’s invasion of the secretariat by soldiers. The governor noted that the presence of the troops sparked tension across the state. He said “we are grateful to God for intervening in stopping what could have been the greatest bloodbath known in the history of mankind.” He also thanked President Muhammadu Buhari for reposing confidence in Southeast Governors’ Forum, “by giving us a second chance to talk to our people on the need for us to live as one united nation.” He added that the Igbos remained the most widely travelled people in Nigeria, living and conducting businesses in every nook and cranny of the country. The governor put the estimated population of Igbos in the north at about 12 million, with Borno having the least population of about 50,000 Igbo households. He said Abia needed peace for business to thrive, especially in Aba, the commercial nerve centre of the state. http://anstalk.com/operation-python-dance-army-withdraws-abia/ Lalasticlala 1 Like 1 Share

If this is true, I hope the Eastern governors will reciprocate this kind gesture done to them by PMB for ordering a withdrawal of soldiers from the streets of Abia by giving up Nnamdi Kanu. Kanu may have had good intentions but his strategy was simply a far cry from civilization. He invited the wrath of Buhari, He invited the NA for a dance, Now, that they came to do the python dance, we have all discovered that Nnamdi kanu is a cripple because cripples don't dance. I only pity the families of those who lost their lives within the past few days. Nobody should call it sacrifice because it wasn't. They were victims of foolishness & misguidance. In case the easterners don't know, if there ever arises a war again in Nigeria because of IPoB, they stand no chance of victory because they are greatly disadvantaged. The NA will use them for cheap target practice. Mind you, there is no Sambisa forest in the East. 1 Like 1 Share |

The deed has been done already. We would never vote in Nigeria again. And God would punish all current governor's, senators, house of reps...this is their last tenure. 2 Likes 1 Share |

They will soon return in no time. This time, we need the Army to be more brutal. These common criminals called IPOB deserve no mercy. They need to be chained and caned so viciously. 1 Like |

KendrickAyomide: My People?? So your prediction of what would happen is base on 1967.. The same you guys were expecting Buhari Army to crush Biafra... but he just made it International... Soon you would understand how foolish Northerners are for clamouring the use brute force... Dont bank on 1967 scores .... It's a different squad... Different arena.. Different rules. 1 Like |
