Nigeria’s Home-Based Super Eagles have been drawn to play against Benin Republic in the semi-final stage of the on-going West African Football Union games.

It will be recalled that the team qualified for the semi-final stage with a crucial 2-0-win on Monday night over the Black Stars of Ghana with goals coming from Anthony Okpotu who broke the deadlock in the 52nd minute before Peter Eneji scored a second for Nigeria.

The Republic of Benin qualified to face the Eagles by defeating Niger Republic by two goals to one in the final game of Group B which saw them topping the group with six points.

Niger came second in that same group and therefore also qualified for the semi-final stage where they will be facing hosts Ghana.

The match between Nigeria and Benin is a repeat pairing as both teams met recently in the 2018 Africa Nations Championship (CHAN) with the home-based Super Eagles coming out victorious 2-1 on goals aggregate.
