sometimes while working on dreamweaver, i get dis error message when i wanna preview the site , i have no idea about how to trace and solve the problem so i just delete the whole page and start from scratch again ,
there anybody who can help me , problem & solution!

, Well check your page. There is @ symbol that has to start an ASP webpage. Check if you dont have @ in your page after the one that preceeds your ASP page

paste the whole code and let us look at it.

does that poem page have any includes? If so, do both pages have the "@" directive? If so, do both pages really need one? In other words, you may need to get rid of the "@" directive in your included file(s).

Note though, there r cases when you will need to hv the "@" directive on more than one page. In this case, use <script runat=server> and/or session.LCID syntax instead.

you can not preview an asp page by using just the preview button, you need to run it by typing in the full http://localhost/, asp

Why are u saving it in asp though? if you dont have vbscripts on it, then save it as an html page and preview it.
