KATSINA – Governor Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom has on Friday canvassed for tenure elongation of the present crop of Governors at the helm of affairs in the states of the federation.

This was as he said if the country can be blessed with the crop of Governors who are at the helm of affairs and beyond 10 to 15 years, the country will be developed.

Emmanuel stated this when he visited Katsina State as part of activities to mark the 30th anniversary of the creation of both states (Katsina and Akwa Ibom states) under the then former President, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida.

The Governor said the present crop of governors have the passion, love for their people and the zeal to move the state to the next level as well as patriotism that overshadows every selfish interest.
