There is nothing to proove to anybody as far as personal spiritual experiences are concerned. I have experienced OBE on more than 10 occasions without even trying. I have not perfected and maximised the experience because i did not solicit it and was a novice. But even at that it was a blissful experience and like baby steps there is room for growth.
