The Managing Director of Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) Mr. Nsima Ekere has described Late Obongawan Imo Isemin as an industrious, courageous and principled woman, noting that her demise was a great loss to the state and nation at large.

Ekere, who stated this when he accompanied the Leader of All Progressive Congress (APC) in the state, Obong Umana Okon Umana as well as some friends of Late Isemin’s family on a condolence visit assured the deceased family that they were never alone in this moment of grief.

While recalling the role, the Late First Lady played towards the actualization of SMEs in the state, the NDDC boss urged the members of the family to be consoled with the fact that the deceased left indelible mark on the sand of time.

He expressed optimism that the leadership of the All Progressive Congress (APC) will pay condolence to the family.

“What has happened affect me in a very personal way, the death of your mother is a big loss to all of us. We’re devastated. We’re very sad.

“The role she played in bringing up SMEs in Akwa Ibom State, for me was the greatest service she rendered to the state apart from being First Lady of Akwa Ibom”.

“We feel and share in your pain and I pray God to give you the strength and fortitude to bear the loss”, he prayed.
