Hello Guys, I need your help with my dog I'm having some issues with him and I do think know the best way to handle it. The issues are as follows:
1. He loves food just the sound of the door he is already running, yes it's normal for a dog to like food but he's is something else fam.
2. He is too gentle and lazy, I mean I expect the dog to bark at any knock at the gate but my dog will just sit there and be looking. I want him to be aggressive like a beast

Please the experts, trainers and the experienced ones I need your help over this issue. Thanks

I can attest to this.

I had a dog that was too gentle for my like so I started adding small quantities of weed to his food. The first time I did it, I made sure it was in chains and waited until everyone's gone to bed before feeding him


He barked, cried and wailed all night, I thought he was gonna mad but he was OK in the morning and he slept all day. Weed gradually transformed him to what I needed a dog to be.


I didn't try hot drinks though.

you didn't mention the breed of your dog! that could help us determine what might be the reason.

please also note that most aggressive dogs barking all day and all night lack basic training and are just disaster waiting to happen. You don't want an over agressive dog that might bite you one day too.

someone suggested locking it up for a long time, trust me, that is counterproductive and will only create a dangerous animal and a liability to you the owner too. Some breed of animals are better gentle than agressive cos they can cause havoc at the slightest provocation. Enjoy what you have or go get a guard dog!

you mentioned your dog runs away from the smallest of contact, this looks to me like your dog hasn't been properly socialised. take your dog on a regular work and let it get familiar with it's environment and with people, help it build confidence. I hope you don't beat the dog too? cos that will make him/timid...they have a mind of their own too!

Hope no one considers this. Anyway, if you try to cut the tail, it would bite you well and lesson learnt.

there was a time i.do say my boerboel was too gentle, but abt clocking 6month she started backing n even killed a bush rat in our compound....so just be calm

Mine is also gentle, I tried mixing hot drink with the food as someone suggested. the way the idiot drank that thing eh like its not hot drink again.... Abeg can someone dash me weed lemme try DT 1 also...
