A Public analyst in Osun State Mr Akintunde Bello Sheriff has described the recent comment of the State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Hon. Lani Baderinwa on the state debt profile as blatant lie and an attempt to misinform the public.

A groundswell of condemnation on social media has trailed the reaction of Osun State government on the release by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), detailing the debt portfolio of states in the federation.

The condemnation came shortly after the release made available to the public by the Commissioner claiming that the N179bn debt owed by the state was not just under the Aregbesola’s administration alone but it include that of his predecessors.
