Y-SAP To PDP: Amend Constitution, For Youths Active Participation

Youths Support Advocates For PDP (Y- SAP) has called on the leadership of the People’s Democratic Party PDP to amend the party constitution to enable more youths into elective offices at local, state and federal level.

Y- SAP also promised to oppose the ruling party APC at all level of governance and vowed to protect the interest of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) at all cost.

This was contained in a communique signed by its Interim Chairman Sadiq Aboi, Unyem MD interim coordinator and Isah Rabiu Secretary at its inaugural meeting held at the PDP secretariat kaduna.

They also urged the leadership of the party to expand chances of youth’s participation in active politics and level playground.

According to the communique, “The members of the forum of Youths Support Advocates for PDP (Y-SAP) held her inaugural meeting on Saturday the 23rd day of September at the PDP State Secretariat, Kaduna State”.

“The meeting was attended by members from the length and breadth of the state. After a very successful inaugural event and speeches by high profiled members and stakeholders of the People’s Democratic Party, and other deliberations on the current state of the party and how to contribute to the party towards winning elections in 2019 and beyond.

RESOLUTIONS:”To once again Congratulate the National Chairman, His Excellency, Sen. Ahmed Makarfi and members of the caretaker committee on bringing the PDP as a major and a more active opposition party in Nigeria ready to reclaim government by 2019.

To thank the leadership of the PDP in Kaduna state led by Dr. Felix Hassan Hyat, Stakeholders and members of the State’s chapter of the People’s Democratic Party for the great support being given to the Y-SAP and other concerned youths of the state.

“To urge the leadership of the PDP both at the National and state level to expand the chances of youth’s participation in active politics, to further create a level playground for the concerned youths towards a more improved democracy.

“To try amend the party’s constitution to enable and include the participation of more youths into elected offices at the local, state and federal level.

“To work vividly by opposing the ruling APC at every level of governance, protecting the interest of the PDP at all cost and delivering real dividends of democracy by all cost.
