nigerians with una thinking ..its not about supporting your own its about privacy..most people dont know whatsapp is encrypted..no 3rd party and even whatsapp can listen in..the chinese government dont want that..i think some people need to read about edward snowden and wikileaks founder

whatsapp cant give out info to any government..because they whatsapp dont even have the info

Yes.....If you read the news carefully you would notice where it is said that Wechat offers the Chinese government user information. This whatsapp doesn't do because of their privacy policy and end to end encryption. So since they cannot get user information the ideal thing is to ban whatsapp, everybody would den move to wechat and they get whatever info they are looking for.
