Abuja Feb 23, (THEWILL) – THEWILL has obtained exclusive information on how Nigerian ailing President, Musa Yar’Adua was transported to Abuja.

Yar’Adua was flown in a midsize jet air ambulance belonging to the Saudi monarch, escorted by the Nigerian Airforce plane he left Nigeria in.

At about 11.pm WAT Soldiers had evacuated the presidential wing of the airport before the plane landed. Some minutes before the jets touched down, the airport source of power was switched from public power to Generator. Security personnel were all over the airport including soldiers and men form the State Security Service.

At the airport were cars from the president’s fleet including a white Ford E-250 ambulance. Also at the airport were governors of Katsina, Ibrahim Shetima; Bauchi, Isa Yuguda; and Namadi Sambo of Kaduna State.

The air ambulance was the first to land at about 1.40 a.m. followed a few minutes later by the presidential plane carrying Turai, the ADC and his CSO amongst others.

The planes were parked for a while on the runway near the bush and then the Ford E-250 ambulance was driven to the aircrafts, where the president was transferred into the vehicle and a gradual procession started from the airport to the villa at about 3. a.m in a convoy of about 7 cars with armed men.

There was heavy security on the way to the villa from the airport.
