Laura Mesi, a 40 year old fitness trainer and vlogger who lives in a small town at Lissone near Milan is believed to be the first woman in the country to marry herself. Laura, who suffered from a heartbreak in 2015 began exploring the ideas of a solo wedding after experiencing a pain staking end to her relationship of 12 long years! "I told friends and family that if I had not found my soul mate by my 40th birthday, I would marry myself", she told La Repubblica Newspaper.
