Yet another Gloomy Independence! Call it a once promising yet underachieving country, refer to it as living in past glories, hell! even call it the worst place to live and do business in or better still refer to it's government and agencies as the most corrupt in the world or maybe rate it a place with one of the poorest life expectancy in the world. Infact call it a dead country, you MIGHT be right but.... There's no denying one thing; this is the only country we can truly call our OWN. Run to Canada, The Dominican Republic or even Solomon Island, you'll always be a second class citizen. Hell! Even become a superstar in The USA, they'll always refer to you as NIGERIAN-American cos the green blood follows you everywhere! Our only option is patriotism...together we can make OUR Naija the GIANT OF AFRICA it once was... We could even advance it to a world power. Capacity is not our problem. The richest man in Africa sleeps, eats and orchestrate his business in this country, this country has produced the finest artistes and sports person the continent boasts of, this country is the most populous and diverse black race in the world, this country has gone on record for being home to the happiest people on Earth, in this country, everyone is a conqueror! Only us have the potential to make this country the country of our dreams. It starts with attitudinal change in the small things..It starts with you and me. It is not what Nigeria can do for you, it is what you can do for Nigeria. Happy Independence! 57 years and counting... "e didn't easy" Let's keep the Green and White flying high...Go Naija! |
