army The Nigerian Army are planing on introducing a fresh security operation with the code name: “Operation Crocodile smile’’ in Ogun State.

The strategy, According to the Brigade Commander of 35 Artillery Brigade, Alamala, Abeokuta, Basil Adoke would be targeted at addressing security challenges in the state and its environments‎.

The Army boss who spoke at a reception, organised by the state as part of activities marking Nigeria's 57th Independent Anniversary yesterday, said the action would be set up in the next few days across the state and environments as a step up tempo targeted at miscreants.

His words: “We will start operation crocodile smile in Ogun State".

Adoke, but asured the residents not to harbour any form of fear when the operation starts, stressing that some miscreants have already been identified and needed to be flushed out.

He said: “Though, the state is said to be peaceful but we still have some miscreants to be dealt with, so when you see crocodile smile, don’t be afraid. ”

He explained that the security strategy would be a duplicate of “operation python dance” introduced in Abia State to silence criminals in the state and its environments.

Governor Ibikunle Amosun congratulated the efforts of the many security agencies in the state and pledged his administration’s continuity in supporting them, stating that no criminal will be allowed to operate freely in the state.

Amosun expressed optimism that the country would overcome all of it's problems while facing it, stressing that it is a phase in life.

He said, anyone or group that would divide the country shouldn’t be allowed, and he also called on all Nigerians to remain united.
