Today, Tuesday 3rd of October at the plenary, KSHA[b][/b].

Plenary started at about 12:15pm with prayers from the Speaker, Rt. Hon. (Prince) M.O. Kolawole.

Hon. Linus Eneche moved for adoption of votes and proceedings of last sitting and seconded by Hon. Zakari Osewu Mohammed.

The Speaker, Rt. Hon. (Prince) M.O. KOLAWOLE read the letter of notification for defection to APC from Hon. Ndako Idris of Lokoja II State Constituency.

Hon. Haruna Idoko Musa moved a motion on the fallacious publication of Usman Austin Okai.

He said he is more concerned on this particular part of the publication: "Gov. Bello seek for the house approval to take 10bn loan, the first assignment Rt. Hon. (Prince) Kolawole carried out"

Hon. Idoko said Rt. Hon. Kolawole emerged Speaker 3rd of August, 2017.

Hon. Kekere reacted, saying the publication is indicting and there is need for the house to request Austin Okai to back up his claim according to his publication.

Hon. Musa Omiata of Yagba East State Constituency and Chairman of the House Committee on Public Accounts said there is no time under the leadership of Rt. Hon. Kolawole that there's request to grant approval of 10bn and on no account was the Speaker was asked to share 200m with the members.

He added that Austin Okai should be invited and back his claims.

The Speaker, presided on the motion saying this is and affront on the entire 6th Assembly. He said he never went to UK as put by the publication, he went to US with the Deputy Speaker on the occasion of the UN General Assembly.

The sitting resolved that, the House of Assembly will petition the Police and DSS asking them to invite Austin Okai to back his claims and proceed to the court.

Austin Okai cannot continue to blackmail everybody and go without backing his claims.

Hon. Obaro A.S. Pedro asked for the report of the ad-hoc committee constituted to meet with the striking labour.

The Chairman of the committee Rt. Hon. Hassan Abdullahi, responded that the committee has met with the Labour twice and the matter will soon be resolved and the house will get the report very soon.

Hon. Ndako Idris thanked all his colleagues for their remarks over his defection.

He also appealed to the State and Federal Government to come to the aid of the masses on the recurrent accidents on the LOKOJA-ABUJA road, asking that there should be bumps on this part of the road to reduce the speed of the heavy duty vehicles plying the road.

Hon. Ododo Moses seconded the motion in view that there is a directive that there shouldn't be bumps on highway as such. Adding that there's need to look for a means to make to reduce the speed of vehicles on that part of the road.

The Speaker ruled on the motion with the following prayers:

1. That the State government facilitate speed breakers on that part of the road.

2. That the State government as a matter of urgency erect pedestrian bridge close to KSP for students.

3. That the State government constitute task force to make business owners along the road to move away from the road.
