The Greater Condemnation by pastorkc4life: 6:34am On Oct 05, 2017
TEXT:"MY brethren, be not many masters, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation."-James 3:1

Condemnation is an expression of very strong disapproval. It means also to strongly criticize others purposes, words, or actions, either rashly, unjustly, or uncharitably. Judging others is tantamount to condemnation. James warned his audience against being many masters, because as a master, you may be tempted to want to condemn your servant.

Remember, no one is righteous without Christ. So, when you condemn, you shall receive the greater condemnation meaning, you will be condemned for condemning others, and you shall be condemned for being guilty yourself: double condemnation.

Jesus Christ went unto the mountain of Olives. And early in the morning he came again into the temple, and all the people came unto him; and he sat down, and taught them. And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and they had set her in the midst, they said unto him, "... Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act. Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what do you say?" John 8:4, 5.

This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he did not hear them. So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, "... He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her." John 8:7.

And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground. And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.

When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, "... Woman, where are those your accusers? Has no man condemned you?" She said, "No man, Lord." And Jesus said unto her, "Neither do I condemn you: go and sin no more.

If those Jews have killed the woman. They would have received the greater condemnation, because they will be condemned for killing her, and also they shall be condemned for being sinners themselves.

Therefore, you are without excuse, you that is judging another and you're doing the same thing as the person you are judging, Romans 2:1. Judge not, so that you will not be judged. Condemn not, so that you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you shall be forgiven. God bless you!

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen.
