Nothing stops the SE governments from building more schools. Or even private individuals. The SW has the largest concentration of Federal, State and private universities and even quality secondary schools. So, maybe we should be doing better. All those foolish business men building big Catholic/Anglican churches in the East could have built good schools too.

Ask the governors who can't attract investments and generate internal revenue, but depend almost solely on Federal allocation how it affects them. And ask all the Igbo eite, the politicians, the businessmen, the intellectuals etc why we're not hearing their voices too on the Biafran issue and why it's only Facebook, Twitter, Nairaland and general social media warriors that seem to be carrying the agitation on their head. I would beg to disagree. The Fulani elite have clung on to power because they have the savviest understanding of politics. You do not control the circle of power in the vast, diverse North of the country and by extension, the whole nation, simply by violence. They have the iron-clad will to uncompromisingly promote their interests and grasp what they feel entitled to. They've successfully pacified the majority Hausa population even as they seize all the levers of power in the North by integrating and acculturating into a shared way of life. They've successfully used Islam as a unifying force in keeping the North together as a monolithic bloc. And they've proven to be quite deft at exploiting Southern divisions to keep Nigeria in their control. We are political learners where they are. Ndigbo are politically naive. Just absolutely useless in politics and we prove it again and again.
