The only possible way to answer this is by repetition of odd numbers. Which was not stated in the question. The answer should then be 3+3 + 5+5 + 7+7 = 30

30 is an even number. There is no way you can add three odd numbers together to give you an even number Mr anjowaka510

I dey your back like .....

I dey Expect my 5k o.

OP, you never gave any conditions and you only said "additions". That's A+B+C
A=3+3
B=5+5
C=7+7

But OP, if this is your uncle's son assignment that want us to solve, thunder fire you there

An odd number of odd numbers sum to an odd number. Since 3 is odd, therefore the sum of 3 odd numbers is also odd. Since 30 is even, 30 cannot be the sum of 3 odd numbers. tongue

Can't be solved. Rules of arithmetic, odd+odd=even, odd+even=odd. Since the question requires 3 odd starting numbers, they will always sum to a odd sum.
edit: If integers aren't required, the decimal solutions others have are quite clever

Re: Answer This Question And Be 25k Richer by Ocheinstein(m): 6:08pm On Oct 07, 2017
The reason is simple, addition of any two odd numbers always results in an even number creation. Thus the next added odd number returns the sum to an odd number value. And 30 is an even number which means with the clause placed on our solving this problem without fractions, it's is untenable
Re: Answer This Question And Be 25k Richer by Surestdick(m): 6:18pm On Oct 07, 2017
There is no solution to this question using normal methods, as three odd numbers added together will always produce an odd number Since the answer is even, and an odd number can not equal an even number, this is unsolvable.

Bro datx d answer,if itx asked as a logic question..nd it's obvious dat's wat d op is asking...
bt on a normal circumstance 3 odd numbers added 2geda can't give an even number...
And he didn't indicate restricting us 4rm using factorial function,he only restricted us 4rm using fractions..

using all the same base: [math]13(in base 5)+ 11 (in base 5)+ 1 (in base 5)= 30 (in base 5)[/math] (that is solving in base five)
Re: Answer This Question And Be 25k Richer by veilkonsultant: 4:17pm On Oct 08, 2017
7.5+7.5+15=30. no fraction
Re: Answer This Question And Be 25k Richer by veilkonsultant: 4:24pm On Oct 08, 2017
or one may try (11–1)+(13–3)+(15-5)=10+10+10—→30
