Nigeria are through to the 2018 World Cup finals after a hard-fought win over stubborn Chipolopolo of Zambia, thanks to Arsenal forward Alex Iwobi awesome strike for Nigeria 17 minutes from full time to help Nigeria to a 1-0 win which sealed their passage to the World Cup 2018 in Russia.

It was a pulsating, nail-gnawing and tension doused encounter for the Super Eagles and a truly hard-fought win for Gernot Rohr led team. The Chipolopolo, of course, fought the Super Eagles from start to finish as Moses, Ighalo, Mikel and Simon all sweated throughout in what seems to be like fighting tons of celestial armies.

Gernot Rohr at that point introduced in Arsenal’s forward Alex Iwobi who promptly affirmed himself in by making a brilliant run before intersecting the ball to Moses who released the ball to Ighalo but the former Watford forward wriggled his way wrongfully and the opportunity was squandered.

Nigeria’s final World Cup Qualifiers will be against Algeria in Algiers, while Zambia will go up against Cameroon for a consolation.
