It's a cultural thing. We like being direct. We don't believe in voicemail. I feel it's the fault of the network providers. I'm not sure o but it seems voicemail was more expensive than normal call then so naija peeps just shyed away from it. Calls were expensive enough. They feel the recipient may not get the message

Glo had to remove the voicemail feature totally from their Network.

Whereas voicemail in the US is as good as a call.
