HSE starts with the primary levels, then to NEBOSH and onwards. There is a level you get to, it would be either you have Nebosh or you remain at that level till you drop out. And nebosh gives job security and confidence too

Use ISPON. They are in every state and you stand a change a chance of becoming an ISPON professional member if you train with them. I'm sure a time would come when every HSE professional would have to have ISPON membership to practice here in Nigeria.

No single certificate will guarantee job security. Met a Nigerian guy that has worked for a top multinational company here in Nigeria as an expatriate, worked for many years in the middle east. He is not working .....FOR SOME YEARS now! He has 20+ years of HSE experience. Certifications..... the guys credentials may fill a Ghana-must-go bag.
What am I trying to say, anything can happen, just be positive.
Check job adverts, how many openings do you see for HSE.....sadly, very few!
Seen folks without NEBOSH running the HSE show in top coys. They seem to know what they are doing.
For you question, you need to build your confidence in the field. If you go to a good training center....and have a good tutor......and you devote enough time to prepare, you will ace NEBOSH.
To warm yourself up, do IOSH witking & managing safely, ISPON HSE 3.......NEBOSH IGC......later NEBOSH diploma.
TRY TO LEARN TO KNOW NOT JUST TO ACQUIRE CERTIFICATES.
