What were you thinking before you posted this?. It appears to be simple but in fact, complicated. Here is the thing though. The answer could be 13; where one (1) rabbit) and twelve (12) monkeys are heading to the river.


Another format is 18; where six (6) elephants and twelve (12) monkeys are going to the river.


My head is hot right now. I am not thinking straight

True though, one has to be careful reading Jamb questions before answering them, else one will just get everything wrong while thinking one is right. Patience and smartness is the key.

And also, take note that nowhere in the story was it said the the elephants were on there way to the river the way it was said for the rabbit and the monkey. Also, one has to note that, that every elephant saw two monkeys doesn't necessarily mean each of the elephants saw 2 different monkeys, and so the assumption that the total number of the monkeys are 12 is not possible. In my own view, I suppose the 6 elephants saw 2 monkeys.

So 1 rabbit + 2 monkeys + 2 parrots = 5 animals

Egbon, you have removed the parrots from your equation. If you actually add them, the total will be 25

reminds me of papa and mama around 1992 during yam harvest. Papa was separating yams to be distributed to people. He held one yam in his hand and was staring at it.
