Buhari’s wife speaks on IPOB, Aso Rock hospital privatisation plans

The Wife of the President, Aisha Buhari, has condemned plans by the presidency to privatise health care delivery at the State House Clinic, which she said lacks basic equipment for medicare, even as she urged that budget allocation and utilization at the hospital be probed.

According to her, the country has the best healthcare policy but state of healthcare in the country required that facilities be upgraded to cater for citizens ailment rather than travelling abroad.

The wife of the president, however, allegedly took a swipe at Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Tukur Buratai, for allowing leader of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, to carve out a section of the country and declared it Biafra region.

She expressed her views at the stakeholders meeting on Reproductive, Maternal, New Born, Child, Adolescent Health and Nutrition (RMNCAH and N) in Abuja, at an event held to inaugurate Governors Wives Advocacy Group (GWAG), on reproductive health in the country.
