Camry BIG-FOR-NOTHING! There's quite a lot of these available for sale right here on NL as well as on the streets of Lagos at giveaway prices. Prices range from NGN1.1m to a max of NGN1.5m Meanwhile the 2000-2001 Camry is still being offered for NGN1.4-NGN1.5m Is there something i have missed? Can anyone please provide an explanation? Haven't you heard toyota has been recalling most makes within that time frame? It has something to do with the accelerating mechanism.People no wan die oo  |

The poster referred to 2002 - 2006 Camrys but the Toyota recall affected 2007 -2010 Camrys. So if people are dumping 2002 - 2006, it may be that they are stepping up as Fhemmmy said. Also the brake and accelerator issues have been reported since 2007. That tells me the problem may not be that bad. Toyota's mistake was not fixing it when it was first noticed in 2007. Now they have to fix 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010. In case you are wondering, according to Penske Automotive, it costs either $70 or $220 to fix the problem depending on the manufacturer of your Camry's component (CTX or Denso). |
