Can you compare Nigeria to any of the countries listed above in anyway? Even ordinary power Nigeria has turned it to rocket science!
Now get this...your debt profile doesn't make you broke or poor. It simply defines how economically and financially sound you are!
The countries listed above borrow for infrastructural, health and virtually advancement in everything good. But here in Nigeria, we borrow to loot! Loot again and again.
Dangote is the richest man in Africa right? Check out his debt profile and it would shock you or you think it is his money he used to solely fund his refinery?
So except the person who posted that up there is really ignorant he didn't say anything. He even gave us more reason to reject the proposal to indebt us further! I saw his reply. Some pepole are just best left alone. Someone just listed a bunch of numbers without contest and he is just blabbing rubbish 2 Likes |

Senator, over to you, would still approve the the this loan after hearing from the world bank. You people should stop using masses/ordinary Nigerians as collaterals to borrow or steal what you will for children unborn to pay back. The desperation in requesting for this loan is discomforting. |

No good road, No electric supply, abandoned projects everywhere, poorly funded educational system, porous security system, high cost of living, substandard materials everywhere, and yet someone is telling me that e go better for our current and past leaders. Nigeria spends about 60% of her revenues on paying debts. Imagine you take your salary every month, and you spend 60% of it settling people whom you owe. You have just 40% left to feed your family, pay your kids fees and maintain the house upkeep. Also you still need to invest to create a passive income maybe to build a house or to improve your income, all ontop that 40% ooo. This is the same scenario here. Nigeria has just 40% left after paying debt, out of that 40% Our budget says about 80% is for recurrent expenditure (paying wages, salaries etc), while 20% is for capital expenditure (infrastructure) etc. so you see the problem? If Nigeria isn't improving her infrastructure how does she grow the economy? Now we are borrowing more, but we are not earning as much as we are borrowing. Unlike these countries you mentioned. They don't spend 60% of their income on debt. Buhari and his cabinet members has increased our public debt by 50% in 2yrs from $10billion to $15billion. Our revenue isn't increasing that large. neither is our expenses staying stagnant. You don't expect the foreigners to loan you hard currency and watch you mismanage it , a debtor will always be a slave to the creditor. Nigeria needs to cut down massively on recurrent expenditure, which means those high officials taking huge pay cut so they can channel the funds to the capital expenditure. Any other method is DOA! Tax the people more because u want bigger revenue is you shrinking the economy, recession could abound if they do so 2 Likes |

How do you expect to repay about 65 billion dollars then. Mind you, the u.s.a's budget per year is almost 4 trillion... your mentality is just too DAFT!..
