HOW TO MAKE PROFITABLE TRADES LIKE THE PROFESSIONALS AND EARN LOTS OF MONEY

A trader is a person who buys and sells a product for short term gains. This product could be physical commodities like gold, crude oil, or investment instruments like stocks, bonds, or crypto.

The trader aims to buy as low as he can possibly get, and sell high, making profit in the process. A normal trade can span a few hours to as much as 3 months. But most trades are usually within a week.

It will surprise you to know that more than 95% percent of traders are not profitable. Yes, it means that they lose their trading capital in the process.

If this is the case, why then do people talk so much about trading and try to make it seem appealing and profitable for everyone? You have to find out from our maiden session on crypto trading, and it's FREE for anyone to participate.

Trading

A trader is a person who buys and sells a product for short term profit. This could be a few hours to a 3 month period. An investor instead buys the product, and holds for a much longer period, usually from 6 months upwards.

Traders profit from the upwards and downwards movement in price of the commodity. This trading is done in a market called exchange, which could be physical or virtual. A bullish market is one that is experiencing an upward increase in the price of the product being traded, while a bearish market is one that is experiencing falling prices.

While traders can profit from both bullish and bearish markets, investors can only profit from bullish markets.

Buy Low, Sell High

A trader buys low and sells high. She buys the commodity at the lowest price possible, and trys to sell it at the highest possible price. The difference is her profit.

From the diagram, the trader buys the commodity at $1.25 and sells at $1.75. If after her analysis, she comes to the conclusion that the price was right at $1.25 and then proceeds to buy 100,000 units of that commodity. Then the price gets to $1.75 which she sells all she has.

The result is $50,000 profit (100,000 units x $.50) from the trade. This kind of business activity is also referred to some as speculation, because the trader anticipates that a particular commodity may rise or fall in price, and this prompts her to either buy that commodity or engage in short-selling.

The bulk of the work that makes a trader profitable is on the research and analysis carried out before entering the trade.

Risk/Reward in Trading

Risk/reward refers to the expected risk inherent in a business venture, and the anticipated returns from it. It tells a person if the risk of doing that business is justifiable. The same case applies to trading.

The first thing to note is that ALL traders lose money. No matter how experienced, educated, or informed a trader is, they lose money from time to time. There is no trader who hasn't lost money in trades before. In fact as we speak, some are losing money right now.

It has however being proven that less than 5% of traders are profitable. It means that more than 95% of traders are not profitable. If something isn't done to change their results, they find themselves out of business. This shows that the risk/reward in trading is very high, that's why most times you're advised to only trade with money you can afford to lose, cause you may likely lose it.

To remain a profitable trader then means that you have to be among the top 5% who have being consistent in producing profits in trading. This means trading with the right information ALWAYS.
