TO TITHE OR NOT TO(2) Now I paid my first tithe and that was about 22 years ago. It was N30, a big deal amount of money to me then. And then the unusual happened: few days after someone gave me N200! The highest I was given before then was N50 which were always collected by my parents! However, this time, the N200 was not collected! I was free to do with it as I will. In the first instance the N30 I paid as tithe was not really a tithe because I took it out of a certain N50 I had saved overtime. I just figure out that for all the money had been given in times past that N30 should cover for it! Now this was my first experience with paying my tithes! It established my believe in the word. But what if it was a one-off experience? Possibly. Therefore, I kept at the word, I kept paying my tithe, and as I keep paying I keep having or experiencing those supernatural coincidences where men ‘gave to my bosom’. What happened the times I couldn’t pay my tithe? Yes, there were times I was just plain slack or self-conceited, and I could not pay my tithes, at those times I won’t say I was ‘cursed’ but I did discover that those ‘supernatural coincidences of someone giving you N50000 without asking and is the same amount of money you need to meet a need, tended to slow down or stop altogether! My pastor has said over and again that if God shows up today and said that there is no heaven again that it is too late. He has made up his mind going to heaven and God showing up to say there is no heaven won’t change that. Why would he say that? He has experienced God so much that not even God can tell him otherwise that he doesn’t exist again. It is the word of life which has been handled! Those who doubt God are those who have not experience him! They are the men the Psalmist called ‘foolish’ because they know everything else but the word of God! It’s the same who cast doubt on the principle of giving and tithing, they speak from what they read, but we speak from what we have read, known and experience. The campaign to stop the church from giving is too late, we are sold out to God and his kingdom on the earth and as imperfect as the church maybe it is still the institution that represents God on the earth, she is the pillar of truth and to the church I faithfully give my tithes. Yes, I will give to the poor, the less privilege, to my parents, to the hospitalised, but much more I will give to His church which he purchased and washed with His own blood Read full article here: http://www.powertalk.com.ng/2017/10/09/it-was-my-first-tithe/ |

The lord requires from his children to give to his work (tithes and offerings),help the needy and win souls for him. You're highly favoured among men @ op. Don't let those lunatics and agents of Satan pretending to be light derail you from giving to the work of God. We have many of them in this forum pretending to be Christians but they're agents of darkness. They create thread on this platform to spoil the minds of many Christians and deceive them by saying the pastor eats the tithe alone. They forget that God is not a respecter of man. He hearkens to his word. His standard has not changed. Many of their kinds( those arguing about tithe) are in hell fire weeping and asking for mercy. They know the truth but decided not to follow but lust after their own desire. May God richly bless you in Jesus name. Amen. |

asuustrike2009:Well said brother. We have been on this path for long and the profit shows no other teaching can change or derail the word of life which we have handled |

TO TITHE OR NOT TO(2) - YOUR HEART YOUR TREASURE Whoever gives his life without first giving His love? And whoever gives his love without equally giving his money? Giving is the ultimate proof of loving. But mind you it is possible to give without loving, however it is impossible to love without giving! "And Solomon loved the Lord, walking in the statutes of David his father: only he sacrificed and burnt incense in high places. And the king went to Gibeon to sacrifice there; for that was the great high place: a thousand burnt offerings did Solomon offer upon that altar." - 1 Kings 3:3-4 Everyone that ever claim to love has always proven that love by giving! Solomon love the Lord and in proof of that love offered a thousand burnt offerings(now that's a 1000 ram sacrifice, check the worth of that today,It was a single offering of love!). And of the church of God in Macedonia it was written of them of how even in the midst of their affliction they abounded in generosity. 2 Corinthians 8:2-5 recorded of this great church "How that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality. For to their power, I bear record, yea, and beyond their power they were willing of themselves; Praying us with much intreaty that we would receive the gift, and take upon us the fellowship of the ministering to the saints. And this they did, not as we hoped, but first gave their own selves to the Lord, and unto us by the will of God." Those who have given themselves has no problem giving to the Lord! The Macedonia church didn't just give 10%, no! they gave their all because they had first given their heart!
