Guardiola and Klopp had the same problem last season.

Poor defence.

But while Guardiola spent nearly 200m to fix man city defence, Klopp has spent more than 150m on attackers and only 18m for defence (Klavan 4m, Karuis 4m and Robertson 10m).

That explains why klopp's 3rd season still has poor defence.

Obviously he cares more about attackers than defenders.

I remember during pre-season, he had the courage to open his mouth and claim that Liverpool does not need a new defender.

Shameful.

What do you expect from a coach that spent more than 150m on attackers and only 18m on defenders.

A good attack can win you matches but a good defence will get you trophies.

Oga go siddon. Which player has he spent 150million on? Aside Salah and ox which other player has he bought this season? Considering we sold Benteke and like 4 other players.

We don't have the bottomless pit of money that City has and aside that I prefer we build a team than buy one.

This team is still a work in progress and they are fairly young. As long as they play entertaining football and make top 4 for the next season. Most fans are fine with it. And don't forget we have Keita coming from red bull as a DMF which would solidify the defense.
