The current state of Bakassi, especially it roads in Cross River State is nothing to write home about. The Local Government Area with international attention; yet struggling to cope with a wooden spoon.

Billions of Naira have been spent by the Federal and State Governments over the years to develop the area and ameliorate the sufferings of the returnees and Internally Displaced Persons, IDPs with the Bakassi Resettlement Committee headed by Senator Florence Ita-Giwa, but the area still wallow with decay infrastructure, poor road network and others.
