LWKMD, when their allocation has been reduced to 150 million naira monthly. Aregbe keeps deceiving these people with phantom projects. Even Ibadan and Akure airstrips are not viable yet they talking of building another one in the rustic town of Oshogbo. Lets's even assume that by a stroke of miracle that it was built, who is going to use the airport? The governor alone or skull miners and agbo sellers Iberibe Dagbukwaa unu there. LOL. 6 Likes |

I am from Benue state but I don't like ppl talking about that state because it doesn't exist in terms of government doing something to at least take the state to some standard, we just have people there disguising as governors, senators etc and be looting anyhow without anyone saying anything, if not for some reasons I would have said that state stopped existing from the day it was created birdsview: 7 Likes 1 Share |

I doubt whether this airport will be viable for passenger travel. It could be useful for cargo operations, cos that will certainly decongest the MMIA. 1 Like |

This must be fake news. Osun with all its financial wahala? Most airports in 9ja are under-used. Airline business is hardly viable in 9ja because of too many huddles. Where will passengers be flying from & to? UK, USA, SA, Canada, France or where? This is one of the problems of creating states anyhow. A superb upgraded Airport in Ibadan should serve Osun & beyond very well. Asaba also built an airport when a nice mixed passenger-cargo airport at Onitsha (with two or three nice bridges over the Niger) & an upgraded Benin Airport would be enough. 5 Likes |

Only good thing about this airport is that finally an international airport will be named after a Yoruba man after many years of marginalization |

This is unnecessary in a state that is already overburdened with loans. Investment in agriculture and mining of solid minerals will boost the economy better. What's the volume of production that requires urgent airlift? The underutilised Ibadan airport is about one and a half hours away. Besides there's functional railway service passing through several towns in Osun. Aregbesola seems to be focused on huge capital projects which have not translated into improved economy for Osunlites. Even his education policy has brought more confusion than progress. Really sad times for Osun. 6 Likes |
