Donald Trump has said he intends to permit the opening of a trove of long-classified files records on the death of previous president John F Kennedy.

The president tweeted to state he would permit the discharge “subject to receipt of additional data”.

The records are booked to be opened by the US National Archives on 26 October, however the president is qualified for broaden their ordered status.

Kennedy was shot dead by an expert sharpshooter in November 1963 in Dallas, Texas.

The National Archives has just discharged most reports identified with the death, however a last cluster stays safely guarded.

“Subject to the receipt of further information, I will be allowing, as President, the long blocked and classified JFK FILES to be opened,” Trump said in a tweet.

Congress decided in 1992 that all JFK archives be released in 25 years, unless the president chooses the discharge would hurt national security.

The chronicle contains more than 3,000 already unreleased records, and more than 30,000 that have been discharged earlier however with redactions.

Oswald was captured in Dallas upon the arrival of the shooting and accused of the president’s murder. He denied the charges, guaranteeing he was an “only a patsy”.

He was broadly gunned around dance club proprietor Jack Ruby while in police guardianship two days after the fact, and the plot to kill Kennedy turned into the most intense paranoid notion in American history.

“The American should know the realities, or possibly they should comprehend what the administration has kept escaped them for every one of these years,” Larry Sabato, executive of the University of Virginia Center for Politics and writer of a book about Kennedy, told the Associated Press.

“It’s long past the time to be forthcoming with this information,” he said.
