shell eco marathon is an innovative programme in which Various Teams from different universities/schools around the world will compete for the "Energy Efficiency" award (the major and most prestigious award), as well as other off-track awards like the Technical Innovation, Safety, and Perseverance Spirit awards. 

Team FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OF PETROLEUM RESOURCES EFFURUN ( FUPRE ) came out 2nd place in the Gasoline Prototype category 'Energy Efficiency Award' and in the 'Technical Innovation Award.'

It wasn't easy, but they scaled through and maintained their position in Africa by improving their previous record of energy efficiency.
