JOB DESCRIPTION

Map out a universe of merchants in the leisure and hospitality sector and devise a merchant acquisition plan / strategy for engagement
Scale up the number of merchants by prospecting high-quality, centrally-located merchants through established networks, relationships, independent research
Facilitate the growth of revenue by contacting and closing business deals with high quality, urban merchants.
Develop familiarity with each merchant’s business, including but not limited to: products and/or services, consumer demographics, consumer ratings, points of competitive differentiation, merchant economic model, and revenue and profit drivers
Interface with Merchant Development to ensure a seamless transition of accounts and align on merchant strategy
Manage cross-functional team work streams including those involving product, legal, marketing and sales to deliver on partnerships
Secure merchant closes using consultative selling strategies to craft and negotiate partnerships that align with financial, operational, and branding objectives
Structuring and building the systems necessary to onboard and measure the ROI of our partners
Managing partnerships once deals are negotiated to deliver on the highest return possible in the partnership
Work with IT developers to augment and upgrade eCommerce platform to enhance user experience and increase connectivity to merchants systems in real time
Ensuring constant update of new technologies and strategies to ensure the brand remains at the forefront of online with the designer arena
Oversee marketing campaigns on all major social media platforms and eCommerce media outlets to attract and drive bookings for merchants services through the company’s platform
Secure partnerships and sponsorships that will attract more customers to company’s booking site.


JOB SPECIFICATION

2-5 years of work experience in a business development, strategy, or business operations role
Proven experience in developing business strategies and business development opportunities and delivering business results
Competencies – proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent Analytical, problem solving, communication, negotiation and project management skills
Understanding of Internet industry
Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize tasks and work within deadlines with little supervision
Ability to work in a start-up environment

Desired Qualification: Bsc/HND holders.

Salary Range: N60,000 – N70,000
