From the gospel according to Mike 5:3-13.
THE “POLITITUDES”
1. Blessed are the clear in corruption and embezzlement, for they shall have the confidence of their people,
2. Blessed are those who care about others even when elections are not approaching, for they shall be remembered during elections,
3. Blessed are the humble, for they shall be called good leaders,
4. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for the development, elevation and empowerment of others, for they shall always have multitudinous supporters,
5. Blessed are those who hate selfishness and avariciousness, for they shall obtain the people's confidence,
6. Blessed are the sincere in speech and promises, for they shall see sincerity of voters during elections,
7. Blessed are those that refuse to betray their brothers or sisters during critical moments, for they shall be called good ambassadors of their people,
8. Blessed are those who are criticised for the sake of pursuing the truth, for theirs is the confidence.of the electorate,
9. Blessed are you when people insult you, criticise you, hate you and say all kinds of evil things against you to pull you down, simply because you refuse to adulate them. Rejoice and be glad, for great are your chances at the polls.
10. You are the procurator of your people. But if the procurator loses its procuratorial quality, and has chosen apathy instead of empathy, how can it be made empathic again? It is no longer good for anything except to be THROWN OUT AND TRAMPLED UNDERFOOT.

...And that would be the fate of most of our politicians come 2019.

Signed

Amen. Unforunately in Nigeria, "young" includes the 70 year olds; and worse still, tomorrow never comes.
