How did you end up becoming a mod. Your reasoning is too shallow, and your bigotry reaches high heaven. You can as well ask what would have happened to Jamar of Gambia if he refused to concede to Barro when ecowas asked him to do so. You think Nigeria exists alone in lawless and anarchy among other African countries. May be the giant of Africa thing is deceiving you.

Mynd44 asked a valid question, tbh. If Nigeria doesn't pay, is there any kind of force to make the FG pay? ECOWAS is like UN and its constituent bodies. They have no enforcing power. Added to the fact that Nigeria is the most important country in ECOWAS.

So, what will happen if Nigeria doesn't pay up?

ECOWAS being idioitic as usual.

Who pays reparations for a civil war?

Instead of seeking reparations for slavery and colonialism they are her fooling around.

This must be fake .

The most foolish thing I have read.

Reparations to whom by whom?

Nigeria will need to first divide itself for this to make any sense.

It is very amusing reading the postings of Biafrans arguing blindly on what they don't know. Firstly, I am not sure the information is true. If it true then it is a connivance between the judge, Biafra lawyer & those thieves lawyers in the office of the attorney general of the federation to defraud Nigeria.
Then, they are bunch of jokers. I am aware during GEJ when oil was around $140 / barrel they were just looting using different methods. Office of the AGF used damages against FG to steal billions. Bayelsa took FG to Court & got =N=37.6 billion damages for Odi invasion. Later, Benue went to Court over Zakabiem invasion & got damages also against FG. Since both the FG & the states are indirectly the same person under Jonathan, the deals went through & those states laughed.

I think this case might have been initiated under Jonathan with the expected delivery date being his second term but he lost. The Biafrans fought with everything for Jonathan to win, but he lost.

Now, coming to the issue of ECOWAS, there is nothing ECOWAS can do here except Biafra is operating as a sovereign state. Unlike Bayelsa & Benue that are constitutionally recognised as states in Nigeria, Biafra is not a member state. Individual person or corporate entity from member state may take a country member of ECOWAS to the Court. In this case, it is not. Nigeria is yet to meet her commitment to ECOWAS, AU & other international Organization not to talk of back door arranged settlement. Nigeria remains the strongest & the voice of ECOWAS & controls the body established by Gowon. The issue of Morocco having problem with her Arab brothers coming to West Africa that she does not belong is never a threat to Nigeria. It may be of assistance to poor nations in ECOWAS but never to Nigeria. All those small boys looking for assistance from Israel or ECOWAS are just wasting their time.

What of the destructions caused by biafran soldiers in the Niger Delta, Mid west and some part of SW, who will pay for them?

ECOWAS or whatever court must be jobless to give such verdict.
Nonsense!
Errrm!! The real truth of the matter is that, the ECOWAS Court has done nothing wrong, it simply gave legal effect to the out of court settlement between the disputing parties I.e Federal Government & the victims. Thereby making their out of court agreement have the status of judgment of the Court. So if you are to blame anybody at all, blame the Federal Government for choosing to negotiate the terms of settlement with the victims, out of court.

abeg stop saying thrash don't contradict issues here ,the issue of Barro and jamar are quite different from these if you care to know if FG decide never to pay it then nothing is going to happen,or did the Biafran soldier come to Ore to evacuate the remaining of bombs and explosive device they left behind during the civil war??

Ibo, I can see 114 likes and 10 shares from your brothers on your posting quoted above. If I want to lecture you it may sound offensive to some ECOWAS member states. Firstly, AU & UN recognise Nigeria as the voice of ECOWAS. Jammeh (not Jamar) handing over to Barrow was not because of ECOWAS threat but because of Nigeria as a voice of ECOWAS. It is the fear of military action from Nigeria coming under ECOWAS resolution that made him to run away. If UN will send a mission to Gambia, it will still be led by Nigerian Armed Forces. As at the time Jammeh left, Nigerian Navy Ships were around Senegal & there were rumors in Banjul that Nigerian Armed Forces may invade any moment. This made him to flee.
In all the military mission, Nigeria remains the regional policeman. The coming of Morocco doesn't pose any threat here. I think we should collect our building in Abuja let them relocate the headquarters to Maroc.

There is nothing ECOWAS court can do after GEJ has left. The out of court settlement is an arrangement to save face & probably for some people to make money in the office of Attorney General of the Federation. Also, there are people making money from a defence contract of evacuating civil war bombs & mines from south east. This contractor got huge money from GEJ to remove the bombs, the next phase was suspended by GEJ. Since Buhari came to power, he has been raising alarms about the danger of not finishing the job urging PMB to pay the remaining money.

To me, all these are not for the benefit of the people but deals for individuals to make money.

It's like you don't know your Ojukwu started the war.. He committed treason to start with and also went behind to kill Niger Delta opposition voices who were against biafra.

He didn't stop there, he pushed further into the midwest region, killing their leaders of course, raping innocent women and children in the process.

They were repelled back by gallant Yoruba soldiers before federal forces swooped in on them.

Biafrans are no saint in that war and I personally would have seen to their end. Well I might have some compassion at that period who knows.

But believe me, all the enlisted soldiers will die including Phillip Effiong and the likes.

When a 'self respecting' entity agree to do something, it should. Aburi Accord reneging and civil war (which the damages is about) is a sad reminder of the cost reneging on an agreement!
