The former governor of Jigawa State and presidential aspirant under the umbrella of the People's Democratic Party(PDP), Alhaji Sule Lamido, in continuation of his consultation with senior citizens in the country meet behind closed doors with former president, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo and Gen. Theophilus Danjuma.

Irukkanews reporter spotted the presidential hopeful at Intercontinental Hotel, Victoria Island Lagos yesterday where he hosted the leaders of his campaign organization in the south west part of the country, after his visit to Ota to meet with Obasanjo. Speaking on the outcome of Lamido's numerous visits to elder statesmen in various parts of the country, a leader of one of the campaign organizations, Prince Ignatius Ozarabuka said that the presidential aspirants has been receiving favorable response everywhere he has gone by Nigerians who can no longer wait for 2019 to vote President Buhari out of power.

According to him, the mess that is going on in the presidency every day by day is embarrassing Nigerians both home and abroad. On the chances of Alhaji Lamido defeating Buhari if he gets PDP presidential ticket, he said Buhari would have nothing to tell Nigerians if he contests in 2019. He said Buhari has nothing again to offer because those who did witness his disastrous regime in 1984 have now seen that he has absolutely nothing to offer except hardship and pains.

According to him, Lamido's achievements when he was the governor of Jigawa state is speaking for him. He said though Jigawa is not an oil producing state, Sule performed better than his colleagues in the oil producing states. Furthermore, he said that former President Olusegun Obasanjo knows the capacity of Lamido and would always be supportive of his presidential ambition. According to him, Nigerians everywhere are welcoming Sule Lamido Campaign organization with open arms because they know that he would take the country to the next level.

" I want to say without mincing words that APC duped Nigerians in 2015. Those who made the mistake of voting for Buhari have seen that the cure which they hoped to bring has become worse than the disease. Imagine what is going on under the person that Nigerians felt would fight corruption to the end, scandal after scandal. Instead of fighting corruption Buhari is endorsing it every day by day. Imagine what is going on in our economy. Most Nigerians are now going to bed without food due to high cost of foodstuffs in the market.

Imported items are now out of reach of average Nigerians because of the exchange rate. There is no area that Buhari has performed well. In fact, his administration in the last two years has been a colossal failure. He has failed woefully. That is why people are now yelling for change of leadership at the centre and we know that Alhaji Sule Lamido would make the difference."He said
