Dont use glo directly on a phone... Get a wireless adapter, put your sim card in it and connect your phones to it

Or if you have a USB modem, you can use it on your computer

If you use it directly on a phone, it will be as slow as hell

For days now, Glo network has been terrible.

Two days ago, it went off for 24hrs. Thank God I have back up sims from other networks.

From yesterday till today, I have had available network for maybe two hours in total.

I did what you suggested above. I put the Glo sim in a mifi and guess what? The mifi is reading 2G.

I mean what the hell? My sim and Glo network is supposed to be 3 G but it is delivering 2 G to me at this moment.

I cant even open a web page with it. Yesterday, I used MTN with 300 MB of data just to read mails and check around.

Right now, I am using Airtel with 200 Naira for 200 MB just to check mails and stuff.

Can someone tell me why Glo people are going around shouting mega data, free data Tuesday and all of the other nonsense while this netwrok is so awful?

I have never witnessed this level of frustration with a network before.

I don't know how to check for band. I use a tecno l9 plus, the specifications says GSM: GSM 900 / 1800
3G: HSDPA 2100.
Is that the same thing.?

Are you trying to tell us without 4g, one can't browse with ease on Glo? Haba!

Even if his phone only supports 2g, that's very poor from Glo, to download at such very low speed.

Lol... You are impressed with 2mb/sec data speed on a 4G? When it isn't even fast enough for a normal 3g downloading speed. Your browsing is also slow bro, on 4G.

True talk. I ve gotten download speed of upto 3.3MBps on MTN on 3G so dat glo speed is a masked 3G called 4G

Very good points, now tell me which network in Nigeria meets your above write-up?

I only pointed out my view, no be competition. They don't pay any of us.

In other news, our TSTV don dey fall hand.

https://www.nairaland.com/4153900/come-see-o-tstv-just
my brother, DSTV pay u. Haters are always the first to celebrate a downfall, besides TSTV announced that their account was hacked, so don't rejoiice yet.

Glo used to be the fastest network in terms of browsing in my hood but for a week now, I hardly get more than one signal bar. Top open small pages alone na war. I just hope they resolve the problem before Monday.
