When I was growing up, i do hear that only bad people move at night but these days you see most people move to a new location upandan anyhow at night. What are they hiding? ?

There is politics everywhere even on Nairalan

Only people with dirty mattress and pots relocate at night

1. fear of the unknown
2.still having some rent to settled
3.bedbugs infested beds and cushion
4. few properties

1. So police, VIO, FRSC, or lastma don't disturb them on the road.

2. So neighbors don't ask too many questions.

3. So that people don't see their dirty mattresses.

4. Cos they have to go to work in the day.

5. Some might not want the landlord to know they are moving.

Because they dont eant people to see their miserable properties or the got kicked out due to rent

You don't have to display your old properties to public that's why people preferred to relocate in the night

I just think it's a culture in Nigeria, they don't want to be pursued by a monitoring spirit

But i prefer it early mor mor. Like around 6am, moving van don show, and we start the packing

Cos some people properties are filled with bed bugs

1. Fear of landlord/landlady.
2. To pay outstanding bills (light, water, Iya Basira agoyi ewa money, Iya Sakiru oni ata, Baba Sunday the fridge repairer, Okey the motorcycle tyre vendor, Nkechi, your neighbour's daughter you slept with etc...)
3. Yourvillagepeople (now Yourcompoundpeople).
4. Okon that is always tasking you.
