NAPS STORM KWARA STATE GOVERNMENT HOUSE, DEMAND REDUCTION IN TUTION FEE.

On this note the leadership of National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS), an umbrella body of all Polytechnics, Monotechnics, colleges of Education, colleges of Technology and other Allied Institutions awarding ND/HND certificate across the six geo-political zone of the federation led by Comrade Mohammed Eneji storms Kwara state Government House.

The president of National Association of Polytechnic Students NAPS , Comrade Mohammed Eneji led other executives and over three thousand Kwara State polytechnic Student on a peaceful Demonstration to the state Government House, after much agitations they were welcome by representatives of the Governor led by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Student Affairs, In his Speech He Appreciated the Leadership of NAPS, for coming down to discharge her duties and also the peaceful and orderliness of such thousands protesters...

Comr. Mohammed Eneji appreciate the quick response of the member of The Executive council of Kwara State. Eneji Mohammed state that the major reason he had to bring down the entire NAPS Secretariat to Kwara State, was due to the Demonic and Satanic, sudden increment in tuition fee from 32,500 to 75,500 Naira for this new academic institution by the management of Kwara State Polytechnic. He lament that the increment came as a shock to the Polytechnic leadership and all students of the institution as everybody knows the present situation of the country. that after giving a Seven day Ultimatum to reverse such decision, and after the expiration He had No Choice than to bring down his Secretariat...

He further expressed shock and bitterness that the School Management Has been silence and adamant to there request using the first C of Aluta, Even after giving an open room to dialogue. But Unfortunately nothing was done to the effect rather the management of the institution turn our Kwara Polytechnic to Army barrack while he deployed Officers of Nigerian Army,
The leadership of NAPS also call for immediate reinstatement of a promising leader of tomorrow Comr Imam M. Olanrewaju that was suspended by the Rector of the Institution.

NAPS President also call immediate Student Union election as that's the only way out student test there leadership strength , Mohammed Eneji further reminded the state delegates that NAPS have resolved to bring justice to the students and say no to oppression and intimidation

Mohammed Eneji also promise on behalf of the students to be law abiding students as Kwara state still remain the state of Harmony

Comrade Ijaduoye Olasunkanmi who is the Public Relation Officer for the Polytechnic body instructed students to remain resolute in their solidarity and advised student to hold on in paying tuition fee till NAPS gives a green light. He further advised the rector of the institution not to gamble with the students future because of his nonchalant attitude towards the course. He reminded him that Kwara State Polytechnic is not Elelu Polytechnic were he sees himself as the Alpha and Omega.

The Kwara state governor, His Excellency, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed through his special adviser promised that the Governor of Kwara State meet with NAPS leadership on Monday to find lasting solutions to the issue at hand. On this note, the leadership of NAPS urge all students of Kwara state polytechnic to be patient till Monday. The body won’t hesitate to give them feedback after the deliberation.
