The Facebook-owned mobile phone app crashed this morning and mainly affected people in the south of England and parts of Western Europe
There's also isolated issues in India, Singapore, Mozambique, Vietnam, and Iraq
Problems with service occurred at 8am but its not clear what caused outage
Many users took to Twitter to express their frustration with hilarious memes

Millions of users have been left frustrated as WhatsApp suffered a Europe-wide outage.

The Facebook-owned mobile phone app crashed this morning and mainly affected people in the south of England and Western Europe for around two hours.

According to Down Detector there were problems across Europe, with isolated issues in India, Singapore, Mozambique, Vietnam, and Iraq.

Users took to Twitter to - firstly, to find out if others were experiencing the same problem - to express their frustration, with some using hilarious memes.

honestly bru... i have been here in Mozambique for about a year and some months, there was darkness for four times throughout this year... light is common here bro,
