In 2004, I gained admission into Ogun State University (OSU). A few months later, a friend introduced me to his friend Cynthia (not her real name). Five days after I met Cynthia, she asked me out. I was so blown away and I said, ‘Sure, that’ll be cool.’

I was so excited. In my mind back then, Cynthia was fair-skinned, pretty, physically endowed and she had money, so what else could a fresher ask for? After a while, I moved into her more comfortable place off-campus. For the next three months, I was subjected to Cynthia’s nymphomaniac tendencies. Some unspeakable activities went down during that time. But to my unrenewed mind, this was the fulfilment of my wildest fantasies and pornographic aspirations.

Did I also mention that Cynthia was 5 years older than I was? Anyway, she would take care of me, spend a lot of money on me, serve me food, did everything to make me happy.

Yet, one day, I just woke up and said, ‘What am I doing here?’ I went to see her and told her I wasn’t interested in the relationship anymore. She was shocked.

‘What have I done wrong? Just tell me, and I will correct it!’ she pleaded, sobbing profusely.

I ignored her pleas and she got angry. Asked me to return all the clothes and stuff she had bought for me. I even returned the shirt and shoes I had on. I left Cynthia’s house that day walking on the road with only my singlet, shorts and socks but I had never felt so free before, like a big load had been lifted off me.

Fast forward to 2010. I was about to graduate from Madonna University where I had started all over after cultists turned my previous university upside down. I was already born again by then. I sat discussing with a friend about different universities in Nigeria and OSU came up. She said her sister also went there and she mentioned her sister’s friend Cynthia who was dating a younger person, one black Benin boy like that. Her sister told her that Cynthia loved this boy so much. Then one day, Cynthia came to her sister crying that the boy had left her. She said she was hurt that despite all she did, including going to a certain witch doctor to make incisions on her body to make sure this boy never left her, he still did in the end.

I was frozen on the spot. Here was someone telling me my life story from another angle without knowing I was the one she was talking about. I asked her where this Cynthia lived while in OSU. She mentioned the name of the same building I had lived in with Cynthia. Wow.

God wanted me to know what He had saved me from. And He can save you too today. You may think you are enjoying that life right now, but there are events going on in the background, in the spiritual realm…that you need to separate yourself from.

RUN TO JESUS. RUN TO JESUS. RUN TO JESUS.

if you really knew the bible like I do, you would not be a christian. Many atheist who were christians knew the bible well enough to dump christianity. If you know the bible very well and you have enough experience of putting it into practice, you will be left with two options: 1) embrace the truth and come out of it, or 2) become a hypocrite intentionally and continue.
You remain a christian because of option 2 or lack of good understanding of your holy book and religion. Learn your holy book and religion instead of letting your pastorpreneurs spoonfeed you with how it is done.
