Beam A Smile Humanitarian Foundation in conjunction with Keziah and Mary Foundation are set to deworm 1000 pupils in Lau LGA of Taraba state.
The project tagged "Taraba Experience " is an initiative of two humanitarian foundation working to better the lives of youths around the country.
According to the project director and founder Beam a Smile Humanitarian Foundation Maryam Dunji, she said her organisation together with Keziah and Mary Foundation found out that some parent couldn't afford some of this basic drugs that will help in healthy living that is why they are giving out free deworming drugs to over 1000 children of public schools in Lau and Ardo-kola Local Government areas in Taraba State.
"This is to transform the educational and social lives of these children making them less vulnerable to worms, bad hygiene productivity and it would bring about a significant reduction in poor academic performance.
"We are also ready to give them a health talk to educate them on good personal hygiene and how to prevent worm infestation and prevent the discharge of parasitic worm eggs into the environment to help prevent re-infestation among children. We also have lots of goodies for the children," she concluded.
Others partnering for the events are Agbu Kefas Initiative, facts media, Rey De Frutta, i-volunteer Resource Initiative and Neimeth International Pharmaceutical.
