England Coach, Gareth Southgate was full of praises for his lads after the played a goalless draw against the South American power house.
The sterling performance of his side in the game gave better prospects for the current players as the fans at Wembley Stadium were not disappointed.

The back three for the 'Three Lions’ which had youthful exuberance had their work cut out against a dominant Brazil side led by Neymar and Manchester City’s Gabriel Jesus, but the resilience of the English boys gave them an incredible result on the night.

Southgate was particularly impressed with Liverpool’s youngster, Joe Gomez, who was a surprise inclusion ahead of the experienced Gary Cahill after coming off the bench for his debut against the German national team.

“I thought they were excellent, “said Southgate. “ Joe was given the man-of –the-match award and deservedly it was.
On John stones, which played in the middle of the trio, he quipped: “I think in the two games played, Stones has really shown his defensive attributes.
“He looked really mature, controlled the line and took pride in his defending as well as being calm in possession. I think that’s a significant step for him.”
“They are not going to face more difficult tests than they have had in the two matches we have had, and they have come through them with two clean sheets.

“They system has worked well. Collectively we have worked well. They had control of the game tonight and they were the most dangerous team, no doubt about that, but we have limited both teams to very few clear-cut chances.
Southgate was also impressed by goalkeeper[b] Joe Hart[/b], who made strings of saves on his return to the national team after his absence.

“Today was vital for Joe,” he said.” He had to be under some pressure due to the way Jordan Pickford had performed and he lived up to expectation.
