uchnog: The car had accidents in 2005 and 2007. Looks like it happened with the same owner who still kept the car till 2009. I will ASSUME that it was fixed. How well/properly fixed? That's a guess. I will advise you to do a thorough inspection with a mechanic. Watch out for driveability issue and make sure that the price is worth it. Otherwise look for another car. Good luck. |

^^^^ Bunmzie: Without me seeing the car, the call is a little hard. There are few concerns i have about the car: 1. Owners 2 and 3 only has the car for 10days and 8 months respectively. Kinda Baffles me. That's rather too short to keep a Toyota except if they are resellers. Or the obvious:The car is problematic. I'm not sure. 2. Although the transmission was rebuilt in 03/072008, RAV4 between 2001-2003 are rather prone to transmission issues. So there's is no telling if this problem will not return or not. For my money this is what i will do: 1. Will rather go for something like a highlander of same year (prepare to spend up to N2.2m) 2. Better go for like a 2004 RAV4 (No transmission issues for that year. Only be careful on 2001-2003). Be prepared to spend like N2.2m for a 2004 also. If you have to get this one, don't offer more than N1.8m. And that is rather being very generous. Good luck in your search. |
