May God richly bless you for this insight . You see, it's unfortunate that most Africans are mis informed. Sadly, the west will continually remain indirect dictators till thy kingdom comes. Till then, Africans will continually set up churches, mosques and other religious houses depending on their beliefs whilst praying to their creator to come down to perform miracles that will help chase the demons Causing their woes away.
femidejulius:
They marched against Hosni Mubarak of Egypt and now Egypt is very weak and her economy struggling.

They marched against Muhamma Gaddafi of Libya and now the once thriving nation is a shadow of itself.

They marched against Ibrahim Babangida of Nigeria and then Sanni Abacha, the more wicked one came on board.

Why wait from Wednesday till today. When those military guys failed to convince Mugabe to resign, they are now trying to use protesters. You think Mugabe is bad, wait till you see the next guy emerge. Una go fear fear.

The silly West will be saying Mugabe is a dictator because he refused to bow down to them. Yet, the West are still supporting puppet sit tight rulers around the world. That was how they supported former Egypt president Hosni Mubarak for 33 years in office till few years ago when he became a casualty of the Arab Spring.

Even this Mugabe used to be a good boy when the West were able to control him. After 14 years as president of Zimbabwe, the was Knighted by the Queen of England and all Britons were happy. He wasn't a dictator then despite having spent 14 years as president. Then he did the unthinkable. He took the most fertile land from the whites and gave it to his people (90% of fertile land in Zimbabwe use to be in the hands of the minority whites) and then the celebrated Mugabe became a dictator who must go. Shame on Africans who let the West media manipulate them.

Like too.many shallow thinking Africans you mixed ot again. Dictatorship has never been the problem: Human rights abuses have always been the problem!

FYI those lands seized from whites only ended up in the hands of the black elite. The average and poor Zimbabweans got nothing, and then were saddled with an unproductive economy since the new owners of the lands did not have the technological expertise the whites had to farm them.

My friend, please note that the west is indirectly ruling even Nigeria today. Hence, Zimbabwe is not exempted.

When the whites were around, the country was the food basket of southern Africa, Mugabe destroyed that legacy.

Mugabe is very lucky to be watching his retirement done for him by another this peacefully. Most dictators ain't this lucky. Before these murmurs turn berserk why not quietly leave the stage you had had all the time and resources in Zimbabwe to turn to Eldorado for about 4 decades but failed to. Well crocodile smiles ain't good especially for an old man . Bye Mugabe, you just aint coming back for being so poor a student of Machiavellian politics. Since you prefer Grace to the brotherhood, go enjoy her.

How can you wish it was naija when our president is "young" on the seat of power??
He's just two yrs old on seat, compared to Mugabe who stayed 37yrs old already.

Common, you aren't correct

This is coup de grace for him,the final nail on its coffin. Once a people take to the streets in acts of disavowal gestures,it shows the sitting government has become unpopular. It's the end of an era,and the dawn of a new age for Zimbabweans.

What makes a leader good or bad?
Hating or loving the west?
Only in Africa is a hero determined by sentiments and not real achievements.
Mugabe fought the imperialist, so what, he wasn't the first to do that and
that doesn't automatically make him an unquestionable god.

The fact that he was a freedom fighter does not mean he should try and impose the next leader which his wife Grace, that is the issue faced by the party, other parties still not supporting the move because the Army are still loyal to his Government but they dont want the wife to become after he departed

You're very much right. But he would have done his good intentions through a strong government of the state. He must not die in power to drive home his point. The west are in Africa for business. They can never help without an interest. After my research on Mummah Gaddafi I couldn't help but feel for Africa who pay attention to the western media instead emulating their business and developmental style. China became what it is not true their communist leader Mao zendong or so. Try n Study history n culture n know what works here might not work somewhere else. On there other hand, what bout the leaders in the middle East?

Meanwhile, the West is in support of this because access to land by White minority will resume

Another Pathetic African Slavery mentality at play again!!!
When will Africans start seeing their predicaments as their own challenges and address them as such without these pathetic outcry about the west.
The west is not insisting on bringing a foreigner to rule Zimbabwe for goodness sake!!!
After 37years, Zimbabwe cannot boast to be better than their counterparts in southern Africa talk less of in Africa as a whole and a full blown individual with a matured sense will think and compose all these up there all in the name of being against the west.
Have you wondered how the USA, Britain, Japan, Singapore, China etc developed themselves................they did not keep running to anyone, it was all done by them.
If Zimbabwe cannot get a Leader within themselves to develop that Country then that's their problem to deal with.
What you wrote up there is just a long epistle of bull shit!
Absolute Cow dung!
