you are right. A sage that carry no gun but millions of his enemies fell right before him. How great do you think he could be?

The surviva of his enemies was even upon him just like the days of Joshua when YAHWEH put his father and brothers(enemies) survival in his hands.

Imagine the sage eventually taking his chances and wiping out all of them from the surface of earth but just like his Creator, he was merciful and help them to live again. Awolowo is a god. You lots need to worship him.

They quickly came up with suicidal story to console themselves looool

That was the first coup trial in Nigeria's history.

The January 1966 coup was later carried out by pro-Awolowo young officers who wanted to release Awolowo and install him as Prime Minister, overthrowing Balewa, the then Prime Minister.
will you please do yourself a favour by stop reading outdated propagandas?

On what note will Pa Awo ask that brigadier Ademulegun be killed? The people he so much protected that he went to jail for.

Your greedy zik have no other choice than to kill his northern allies after he got wind that he's been exposed and they would no more do his biddings.

You know, it's hard to forgive all that you lots did in the past but it's actually enough that your bloods are still used to cleanse the mess and you have no peace in the Nigeria today.

You lots are evil and may Azikiwe know no peace in the hell that he is today.

Awolowo have the plan of prolly traveling before the day he died. He died like normal old people would die. My sister visited his home(museum) when Mama HID was alive and still agile. She attended to them herself and explain everything to them. The glasses he planned on putting on that very morning, the pair of shoe and all was all shown to them by Mama herself.

No matter what they say against Pa Awo, all that matters is that, God fell millions of his enemies right before him and then the gracious God also put his enemies fate in his hand to determine. He could have wiped them away, Azikiwe caused him alot but he choosed to be merciful on them. Don't you see that? He helped them restart, he helped them live again.

Their hatred can never stop him now. He's our hero already. It's too late for them.

Atypical political prostitute.

Wasted sperm. I know your parents are regretting for gave birth to you. Balewa a first Nigeria prime minister wasn't so popular like Awolowo nothing even talk of a figure head like Azikiwe. Who among igbo elites can match Awolowo astute?about one million igbos benefited from Awolowo free education program.

Awolowo may have suffered miserably for his sins though all sins have consequences.....

But ending his life cheaply with rat poison didn't speak good of his person at a time he was trying to redeem his already battered Image...

Nevertheless we cannot question God while his travails went through such pattern...

May his soul continue to rest...................as it should be since returning to nothingness......many years back..

Dendemo.r.on, stfu.

Fact of the matter which you duplicitous souls are always trying to ignore is that, pa awo was jailed by the1st republic govt- an NPC/NCNC.

It was a fulani/ Ibo govt that jailed awo- their worst nemesis, on false charges

I guess you should stfu. I cannot help you if you cannot comprehend the political arrangement of era in discuss. While NPC and NCNC formed coalition government, NCNC and AG formed the alliance.

“Since 1957 I have fought, as your Lordship remarked, with vigour against the feudal system in the Northern Region and for its eradication. I have also fought to prevent the spread of this evil political system to other parts of Nigeria.

During the same period I have strongly advocated the breaking up of Northern Region into more states in order to have true federation in Nigeria, to preclude the permanent subservience of the people of Nigeria to the autocratic ruling caste in the North, and to preserve peace and unity in the country.”

I was almost moved to tears by this words. Azikwe was busy frolicking with the North during those periods.

Karma is a bitch, his kinsmen are now crying like babies to be free of the same Northern hegemony.

Life indeed is a circle!

When the time came for him to show that actions are greater than words, he succumbed like a backstabber.

He was never for once against the UNITY of Nigeria? He was just against the dominance of a particular region on the political space which was why he propose fragmenting the core north into multiple entities (states).

Biafra war is a secessionist war which was birthed by the senseless killing of the leaders of other region, Yoruba inclusive. We lost our premier and other top army echelon of Yoruba origin.

Ability to distinguish both different scenario is what majority of you guys are missing.

There is a marked difference between Unity and Union. What Awolowo had preached was against the fundamental unity of the people of Nigeria by castigating a particular system. He was for the union as today's Nigeria. Anybody with a brain can tell you that today's Nigeria is a practical joke.

When does castigating a system equate to preaching disunity?

Do you know what is called constitutional amendment? So if we say we should restructure our system of government does that mean we are calling for the disunity of the country?

You should never equate Biafra secession to what Awo did. It’s two different things and they are not even close.

Awo want Nigeria to exist but he wants each region to have the same powers by soliciting for more states within the North especially the middle belt folks.

Ojukwu wanted a separate country entirely independent of eachother and he went totally against the constitution and it led to a war.
