If I will put aside what I was thought in accounting, I'd say they are depreciating liabilities because more money will be spent fueling and maintaining those vehicles than the benefits they will serve.....85m...chai, double jeopardy.

I used to be a strong supporter of this government, that it seems that they are as useless as previous Nigerian governments. Bunch of idiots! We still have a long way to go in this country. Buhari has been a big disappointment

Somebody should please check how much budget Belgium allocate to their Educational Sector. Some students are even paid to go to school. now here we have Nigeria where Disappointing news is what we wake up to see on the news every day.
1. worse policing
2. worse Education (graduate thousands still a minister says his own graduates are not employable)
3. 35th out of 53 Visa value
4. most Prostitute in a foreign land (Italy) app 12, 000
5. spend about 300 million just to employ a fellow African economist (and they say they are giants of Africa)
6. parliaments does not lack cars in any way but still still allocates millions to get more cars
7. Religious leaders are taking physiological advantage of their followers
8. where millions will rather be a slave in a foreign land than be free born in their own country cos they seems to be no hope if they decide not to live a rootless life.

I thought the allocation should have been the other way round i.e, 85M for research and 8M for vehicles.

this is exactly what happens when people rush for ftc rather than read,understand and make a meaningful contribution. The action of NUC clearly shows the state of things in this country which are: misplaced priorities and self interest. Even if u increase their budget to 100trillion naira,over 90% will still be used on misplaced priorities and self interests. The difference between developed and under-developed countries is the level of investments on RnD. The more investment on RnD,the higher the level of development.

The system is rotten from everywhere, including the bottom where you and me are wasting our own resources on owambes of burial, naming, house-warming, birthdays, eating, feasting and fcvking instead of donating to our old schools, community health clinics, green space/parks etc.
The head is a reflection of the body on which it sits.

This man has said it all. Imagine 10 times the amount for research on cars.

Almost 8 times the amount for houses. How on earth would they discover something new when all they want is thier personal comfort.

NUC doesn't fund research programs in the universities. There are agencies created for research funding.
